We have a range of workshops at Wintertide Festival this year, both free and ticketed. Places do get booked up quickly, so it’s always best to reserve well in advance

The Hartlepool Walking and Cycling Hub are offering families the chance to be part of a guided ride to Wintertide Festival at 11.30am Sunday 26th November. The ride is approximately 30 minutes each way and just under 4 miles.
Their expert ride staff will be on hand to guide the group safely and able to offer assistance for any problems that may arise on the ride. The ride will then return at 15:30 back from The Headland.

The class is brought to you by local silversmiths The Little Silver Kiln and is designed for all skill levels – even the youngest artists are welcome with a little assistance.
Unleash your creativity this winter season with “Silver Ring Crafting” – an enchanting class designed for ages 14 and up, hosted by local silversmiths The Little Silver Kiln as part of the Wintertide Festival.
Join us for a hands-on experience where you’ll embark on a journey of craftsmanship. Learn the art of measuring, cutting, and soldering to create your very own unique silver ring. Finale ‘Fish’ Decoration! Get ready to dive into a world of imagination and artistry as we gather at the Wintertide Festival. This workshop promises a fun-filled 45minute of crafting and decorating fish-themed props.
All decorated props will become part of a finale procession on Sunday 26th 6pm. If you wish to carry a fish you can sign up on the day of your workshop. This will be on a first come basis.
Suitable for all ages. Children under 12yrs must be accompanied by an adult.

Leaving from Baptist Church
Join historian and Hartlepool resident Roger Codner who will lead a walk around a section of the Headland Story boards, sharing recollections, stories and history about this remarkable place and its inhabitants. Along the walk you will meet characters and hear sounds to bring the history to life.
The walk is flat and will start and at The Headland Baptist Church, where participants will be able to find out all about local heritage and crafts from members of the Hartlepool Headland Local History Group.

Learn all about the different techniques used and learn how to use traditional tools to make your own mini mat decoration to hang on your tree and welcome guests to your home.
You will be able to take home the skills and knowledge to make your own mat for your home too!
Delivered in partnership with Hartlepool Headland Local History group.
Local artist Ashley Foster will facilitate a photography project inspired by Tish Murtha to help you take your own pictures of your community.
