About the artists and work

Step into a house alive with colour, creativity, and conversation!
The Art House brings together talented local artists and designers for a weekend packed with live demos, hands-on workshops, and inspiring talks. Whether you’re a maker, a dreamer, or just curious, come along and discover endless ways to spark your imagination.

Ground Floor — Experience creativity in action.
Stroll through the Art House and meet talented local artists as they create their work live. Listen as they share insights from their creative journeys and demonstrate the techniques behind their art. In the kitchen, discover our community board — a hub for local workshops and upcoming events, so you can stay connected with the creative scene.

First Floor — Inspiration around every corner.
As you head upstairs, immerse yourself in a vibrant gallery showcasing artwork from local creatives. In our talk space, enjoy a series of inspiring 30-minute sessions led by artists and specialists — perfect for students, graduates, and anyone eager to explore new materials and techniques. For those drawn to the stars, join Luke @ Aries Moon for an introduction to astrology and optional personalised readings.

Top Floor — Create, collect, and connect.
At the heart of the Art House lies the studio — a space to roll up your sleeves and get creative. Take part in one-hour bitesize workshops (bookable online) and try your hand at making your own quick print. Browse and buy one-of-a-kind pieces from local artists and designers, and don’t miss the special Inktober display celebrating the work of a local illustrator.

Don’t miss out — Visit the Art House!
Immerse yourself in live art, inspiring talks, and hands-on workshops, all under one roof. Book your workshops and creative talks online to secure your spot, or simply drop in and explore at your own pace. Connect with local artists, discover unique creations, and spark your imagination — your next creative adventure starts here!

In 1977, the twin Voyager 1 and 2 spacecraft were launched, and they are still exploring interstellar space where nothing from Earth has flown before. It was like a time capsule for extraterrestrials, and this workshop is your chance to send a message on the same journey through space.
