Jesmonite is quickly becoming a favourite material in the creative arts world, celebrated for its incredible versatility, durability, and the limitless possibilities it offers artists and makers. Whether you’re interested in sculpture, casting, decorative finishes, or mixed-media projects, Jesmonite allows you to bring your ideas to life in ways that are both accessible and exciting.

In this demonstration, you will be introduced to the basic fundamentals of working with Jesmonite, including its unique properties and practical handling tips. We will also explore a variety of creative techniques—from simple moulding and casting to more advanced effects like layering, texturing, and combining with pigments and finishes.

During this workshop, you will:

• Experiment with different lino printing techniques.

• Learn various printing methods and tips

• Be encouraged to get creative and have fun.

Ceramic Bows at The Art House @18

If you, or someone you know, loves bows as much as we do, join one of our 1-hour bite-sized bow-making workshops in the Art Studio. You’ll learn how to craft your own 3D bow form from air-dry clay, and attach a wall mounting hook if you like. Then choose your favourite colours and take your kit home to paint and varnish your bow once it’s dried.
