Start Making Sense: Tribute to Talking Heads

To launch the Young Producers Project, following our opening parade, we'll start the Festival's music programme off with a bang! Start Making Sense is a passionate, high-energy Talking Heads tribute band made up of ten dedicated young musicians with an average age of just 18.

Despite their youth, they are lifelong fans of Talking Heads and Stop Making Sense, "the greatest concert film of all time", and they've poured that admiration into months of preparation. They are fully committed to recreating the Stop Making Sense experience live, with attention to detail, infectious energy, and deep love for the music. They've studied the live arrangements, choreography, and aesthetic to bring the entire set to life – minus only the Tom Tom Club segment.

Join Start Making Sense for a full performance of the Stop Making Sense tour with an eight-piece band that captures the sound and spirit of the original show.

They're ready to burn the house down!
